I was supposed to put a cover up here today, but I hate putting covers up on Friday. So instead you get this picture of Eden. This was the image I used to make the spoiler wallpaper, and thanks again to everyone who is seeing this for the second time. I like this one better than the previous page, and thought you guys should see it.

Back in November, I did a pin-up of Silk, which you can see here. This picture of Eden is that picture’s companion.

If you’d like to buy this lovely picture of Locus’ mother, I’ll throw in the original 11″x17″ artwork (on acid-free 100 lb. vellum), a full-color 11″x17″ print, and some other cool stuff. I have no idea what shipping will run, but if you’re in the US, it’ll be five to ten bucks, tops. I’ve recently learned a cool way to mail prints this size safely and cheaply! But if you live somewhere else, don’t worry. We’ll get it worked out quick and easy.

If you’re interested, it’s $150. You can pay via the Donate button at the top right of this page.

And if you’re interested in buying original comic pages from Locus, drop me a line. A couple of people are already calling dibs on various covers and pages, although nothing’s been finalized yet. In fact, there have been more than a few collectors browsing Locus lately, and I’m just now getting to a point where I can budget some time to help them out.

So spend the weekend browsing the site and if any page or cover strikes your fancy, let me know!

Oh, god, this page. Worked on it all weekend. Started it over again three or four times. A half-dozen different camera angles. A hundred or more facial expressions. Couldn’t figure it out to save my life. I said, “Fuck it” and figured I’d start fresh Monday. That was a bad idea.

Monday was the day Hambone’s daughter was born, and that was an all day thing. So I rushed it on Tuesday. Sorry, guys. On the upside: Hambone’s daughter is healthy and happy and much cuter than you’d think, considering what her father looks like. It is also his parents’ first grandchild, so there’s smiles all around. They’re all over at Hambone’s house right now (including my wife) eating roast and potatoes and celebrating the birth of this little bundle of joy. Me? I’m in the studio not missing my deadline! Feel free to throw a couple of bucks at that donate button up on the right so I don’t feel like a total dipshit for missing all the fun, would ya? Thanks!

At any rate, let me know what you think of this page. I may redo it at some point. I dunno.

Friday! That’s the day I put up the cover to the next chapter issue thing. #15! It’s gonna be groovy, so swing back and check it out.

Oh, boy. You really don’t want to miss the next page!

You don’t want to miss Friday, either, because that’s the cover to Issue 15…and it’s a doozy.

Uh oh! And on a Friday, no less. Hey, don’t get mad about the cliffhanger. Instead, spend the weekend catching up on Raven’s Dojo! There’s a nice epilogue going on right now, and I get the feeling the best is yet to come.

I am also working on a number of things, one of which is getting new covers ready for the all-new Locus trade paperbacks! Hard-copy Locus comics are on sale right now (click here to see what’s available), but those comics won’t be available forever. Once the new Trade Paperbacks are up for sale, I’m pulling those comics off of Indyplanet and they will no longer be for sale. Every one of those comics has extra pages with bonus material. That bonus material may or may not show up again, so if you wanna see concept artwork and story notes for the early stories, now’s the time to buy some comics!

I will have more Locus-related announcements soon. If you haven’t already, subscribe to my blog, because that’s where the announcements will go.

Finally: Thanks for all the comments! I’m not online much lately. Too busy with Locus, artwork for three different bands, and fixing up this old house now that the weather’s getting nice. I’m still reading the comments; I’m just too busy to reply.

Ah, tea. The mark of a civilized people. The British drank tea, and they were civilized, right?

I’ll warn you now: things in the Realms of the Dead won’t always synch up the way you’d expect them to do here on Earth.

Nonetheless, stop by Monday for tea time!

Welcome to life in the Realms of the Dead! Looks dreary.

But will it be friendly? Stick around and let’s find out!

Also: we have new friends! Tiney from Gores Truly has written up a nice review of Locus, so head over there and check it out!

I jumped off the Stratosphere in Vegas last summer. It was kind of like this.

If you’re ever in Vegas, definitely spend a hundred bucks and jump off that building! It’s awesome.

Wow! Two cliffhangers in one week! Woo hoo!

I’m excited. See, I’ve got this map of the Realms of the Dead. All 105 worlds (109, if you count Earth, the Garden of Eden, the new Heaven, and Xel’Duum’s temple) mapped out all nice and neat for future reference. I really should make a nice version up so you guys can see it, too. Point is: each world is a little different, and I’ve been waiting to play around with this particular world for a very long time.

Suffice it to say, Isaac’s afterlife is about to get a whole lot weirder. So stop by next week! We’ll stick with Isaac for the rest of Issue 14, and then jump back and forth between Isaac and Locus for awhile–probably for the rest of this year! Not 100% sure yet.

We’ll have fun, though, either way. And, speaking of fun, why don’t you spend the weekend catching up on Raven’s Dojo? He’s drawing super models and talking shelves and shit over there. You know you wanna.
