And there you go! Issue 13, the beginning of Year Three, and the end of 2010.

I hope that by the time this goes online I have the comments fixed.  I really don’t know what happened.  I updated Comicpress and the comments broke.  I’m working on it, but I’ve had a new house to move into and houseguests all week, so I haven’t had much time to look at it.  Sorry for the inconvenience.

To be honest, as long as there’s a new page every Monday, Wednesday and Friday, I’m happy.  Everything else is gravy.  However, I love all your comments and will be working to get that shit fixed so you can tell me what for. :)

Have a safe and happy New Year’s Eve!  I will most likely be at Hambone’s new house, playing Guitar Hero and having a good time.  Remember that I’m taking January off to get moved into this new house and to get my shit together, so Issue 14 won’t start till February.

I’ll still update with the regular M/W/F schedule next month, but it’ll be pages from the first Locus webcomic (from 2001), some fan art, and God Knows What Else.  Stop by and check it out!  There’s a good chance that you will get more than three updates a week next month.  Don’t quote me on that, though.   Frankly, I’m just gonna play it by ear.

It’s been a long time since I’ve done a page like this…not since Kiss 4K, when I would use JPL/NASA and Hubble Telescope images for the inside of the Celestial’s cape.  The bottom half of this page, in fact, is courtesy NASA/JPL-Caltech.  Why we’re spending all our tax money on banks and bullshit instead of space exploration is beyond me, but whatever.  It’s good to know that my tax dollars pay for awesome photos that I can use for my crazy stories. :)

Stop by Friday!  Last page of Issue 13.   You don’t wanna miss it.

I’m sorry for the rushed page today, but I’m just getting moved into the new house, and this page was pretty last-minute. Hopefully, the next two will be a little more polished.

Stop by Wednesday! We’re almost done! Two more pages and Xel’Duum’s story will be complete.

I hope you guys are having a most excellent holiday season, and I hope you enjoy Sable decorating her tree.

Stop by Monday!  Let’s wrap up Issue 13.

And, seriously:  Thank You for the donations.  As I’m writing this, it’s Wednesday, and there have been some very generous donations.  You guys rock.  And I promise you’ll get it back in spades next year.

So, beneath the stone of the Raath is a giant Nefilim skull (you guys haven’t seen a full-grown Nefilim yet), and one of those winged snake women goddesses from a few pages back.

And we also learn where kthraacht, leapers, and O’kot’tu come from!  That’s right, kids:  Spook was created by Denvey.  Well…Spook’s forefathers, at any rate.  Spook himself wasn’t  born till much later.

Stop by Friday for a little Christmas surprise!

Between now and then . . .

Someone commented awhile back to wonder why I wasn’t making a ton of money at making comics. The answer to that is because I’m currently working for donations.  I’m like that guy with a guitar on the street, playing his heart out and hoping someone will throw some bills in the guitar case.

So, if you like what you see, click that Donate button up in the top right corner and throw a couple bucks this way.  And thanks to those of you who have already donated!  I’ve received some generous donations, but nowhere near enough to live on.

I’ll be coming up with some cool stuff next year that should help me make a real living at this, so stay tuned for cool fan club and exclusive awesomeness!

That’s a giant anvil Denvey is standing on in the last panel.  Don’t ask where he got it.  It isn’t important.  Not nearly as important as what he’s hammering on.  Any guesses?

As for the angels:  I’m giving you a long, long shot of something that I should be showing you up close.  I know that.  Again: it’s not as important as the fact that they took those wheels with them when they left.

Sammael and Isaac talked about these wheels briefly before he entered the Realms of the Dead, so this is their second appearance.

As I’m writing this, it’s a little after noon on Saturday the 18th.  I’m about to upload this image then drive out to the house and see how my last-minute roof-patching skills have held up to the winter storm we had last night, and all the rain and snow which has been forecast.

Hopefully, by the time you read this, I can tell you that the score in this little roofing contest so far is Adam Black = 1, Nature = 0.

Denvey’s Hammer, ladies and gents.  And Adai III’s ultimate fate.  There is a lot of human skin leather in panel 4.  It’s creepy.  Denvey’s a creepy dude.  He’s probably a result of me watching Texas Chainsaw Massacre a little too young.

So there you go!  Stop by Monday and see what they do to the gods.  And then we’ll get into some other things.  I did, in fact, save some interesting surprises for last.  And I will have a special Christmas bonus image on the 24th!

Then I’ll wrap up Issue 13 and show you the first Locus webcomic from 2001 and some other stuff in January.  Thanks again for all your understanding in regards to that.  You guys are great.

Keep your fingers crossed that my last-minute patch job on my roof holds up under the big storm tomorrow!   I’m kinda curious to see how that’s gonna turn out.

Finally–we can begin with the killin’ and murderin’, like the stuff I showed you on the cover.  And it’s about time, if you ask me.

In other news, my wife and I bought a house.  We moved out of Arizona and back home to the Northwest back in June, and we’ve been looking for a house ever since.  Been living with my best friend Hambone all this time.  Since halfway through Issue 10.  Thanks, bro!

We finally found a place, and will be moving in before Christmas.  However, this place needs some work.  We’re working on it right now, and I need to take January off to make sure the place is totally livable.  The furnace doesn’t work, the plumbing leaks, and there are still some outlets using the original 1920s wiring.

To top it all off, we had some high winds and rain recently which resulted in almost a quarter of my roof being torn off.  Water now leaks down one wall of the master bedroom when it rains.

I’m going crazy right now, being pulled in two directions–this comic and the house.  I’m drawing pages for Issue 13 in between trips to the next town (where the house is).  It’s absolutely nuts.

So I want to update next month with some sketches and behind-the-scenes stuff . . . maybe even the first Locus webcomic from way back in 2001.  Then I’ll get Issue 14 started in February, back on the regular schedule.

Let me know what you guys think about that. I may not have a choice in the matter because I don’t know when I’ll get internet access at the house, but I’m sure it’ll be in January sometime.

And no, this isn’t what causes Meittron to cast Sammael out of the Host.  You won’t see that here, because it happened long afterwards, and Xel’Duum wasn’t there to see it.

Looks like they’re all geared up and on the march!  Where are they going?  Stop by Wednesday and find out.

And now we know:

1.  Why Xel’Duum’s symbol looks a lot like Adai’s,

2.  Where Unaph’to Xel’Duum came from,

3.  How the Bloodied Ones came to be.

Next week, we’ll go into the following:

1.  the armor and weapons of the Bloodied Ones,

2.  how they got their name, and

3.  the Angels’ part in all this.

You have all weekend to wait, too.   Pass the time by reading Raven’s Dojo, Either Dojokes or Bacon Strips, The Bigfoot and Tiki Show (if you own a ukelele), and Fission Chicken (which is Spook’s favorite comic)! Also check out Riot’s reboot of The Path.   It’s bitchin’.
